SNMP Trap message

Hi.

Can I set any kind of SNMP Trap test to be performed on a device?

I have a device that I need to monitor.
This device can get SNMP messages (and traps).

How can I configure sending such messages to the device?

SNMP Trap test does not send any messages.
It listens for Trap messages that your device can send to HostMonitor.

If you want to setup HostMonitor to send SNMP Trap messages to some device, use SNMP Trap action

I saw that I can create SNMP test that uses RMA.

In my case, the SNMP message will not come from RMA - it will come from the device itself.

How to setup SNMP Trap test method?
Its described in the manual. Please read pages 134 - 141 (if you are using latest version of the software).

In my case, the SNMP message will not come from RMA - it will come from the device itself.

So, what is the problem?
