Hello,
i try to upgrade out hostmonitor from version 8.14 to 8.86.
After the upgrade installation i cannot connet to hostmonitor any more.
Every time the error "connection .... failed" occurs.
I tried to use rcc on the hostmonitor machine and remotely. It is always the same.
I know that i have to use new license keys, but I dont know how to use is.
Before upgrade i there is no ability to enter the new keys and after the update I cannot conect.
A clean installation with new configuration is no option, because we have round about 400 tests configured.
So anybody out there who can help me, please.
kind regards
Andy
Upgrade Hostmonitor 8.14 to 8.86
If your old registration codes are not valid for new version then you cannot use RCC or RMA until you re-register HostMonitor using valid registration codes.
In order to re-register HostMonitor, you should start HostMonitor (not RCC), click menu Help->License->Register Now and copy your registration codes, click Ok button and restart HostMonitor.

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
When I try to start the hostmon.exe a small window comes up. It do some checks, shows 8 green hooks and then it closes. Nothing else happens.
So I can not re-register the new keys.
In the old version there is no "License" under "Help".
what should I do now?
kind regards
Andy

Every version of HostMonitor (including version 1) has this menu item. May be you started some different application? In the old version there is no "License" under "Help".
No error messages? When I try to start the hostmon.exe a small window comes up. It do some checks, shows 8 green hooks and then it closes. Nothing else happens.
Could you start HostMonitor using /stop command line switch (e.g. hostmon.exe /stop)? Then after startup you may check "Error handler" options located on Startup page in HostMonitor Options dialog and start monitoring using Start button located on HostMonitor toolbar.
User profile? Do you mean HostMonitor's user profile? What exactly means broken?I had a broken user profile on this server
