How to set alert for the change in service status

Post by Sainyam »

Hello,

I have set the alert when the service stops and it keeps me alert till it is stop, But I want to set alert only when the status of service changed. For example when service stops it send me a alert and when service start it send me a alert. I have tried to set it in advanced mode, but unable to understand which variable should I used for that.

Thanks

This is default behavior for HostMonitor actions - start once when test status changes from "good" to "bad" or vice versa.
You don't need to use any variable.

I assume you set "Repeat until status changes" option for this action.
You may set it back to "Repeat 1 time"

admin mail alert

Post by Sainyam »

Hello,

One more thing I wanted to configure. In you mail admin template, suppose I have performed Free Disk Space test, in the mail it shows only available free disk, I wanted it to show the total disk space and then available disk space. Since the HDD inserted on the server may be different size, it would a difficult to figure how much percentage is left.

Thanks

If you want to check free space percentage, you may use UNC test method
