All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
Yes, this test works with remote shared resources.
And it works fine from Windows 2000 till Windows 7.
Normally you should see error messages in Windows Event Log and HostMonitor Connection Manager Log when there are some account related issued.
But you do not see any error message in the logs...
Can you create NORMAL share, not HIDDEN share? Without using "$"?
Could you check if account that you have specified on Service page in HostMonitor(!) Options dialog belongs to local admin group?
What Windows do you use?
Service Pack?
Could you setup UNC test for admin share?
Also, please, enable "Show error description in Reply field when cannot access resource" option, located on Misc page (Settings for UNC tests) of Options dialog.
What error do you get in Reply field of UNC test ?
Hi
Now errors work perfect.
Test created unc (availability/ free space)
Target server unc inserted: \\systeam\c$
No connect as, work with default account
Get status bad and good relevant to test.
What issue?
You said "work perfect ...Get status bad and good relevant to test", we assumed everything works fine now.
Do you mean UNC test can access hidden share \\systeam\c$ while Folder/File test cannot access the same resource (hidden resource)?
We have rechecked HostMonitor service with "Folder/File Size" test, and it works well with normal and admin shares on remote systems.
I think you should ask Microsoft why Services running on your system can access normal shares while admin shares are not accessible.
Hi
Thanks for response.
For the last option, we restarted one more time the server (hostmonitor)
And the test starts to work normally with bad and ok status.
I don’t know what was the real reason for my problem.
But now I am happy
