Web Interface show false tests

Post by berlin2013 »

Hello,

We got the Problem:
The Web Interface from Hostmonitor show all Tests running bad but if you look at the Server where Hostmonitor running as a service then you see that the test are all good.

Sometimes I restart the KS Web Service or restart the whole Server and the problem is solved but sometimes nothing helps. After a while the problem is gone.

Server: W2k8 R2 Standard

Thank you for your help :D

As usually 1st question - what software do you use? Version??
Are you running 1 instance of HostMonitor? How many hostmon.exe processes do you see?

Strange...
Could you send couple screen shots to support@ks-soft.net? May be we misunderstand something...

If you click "Refresh" web browser button, this does not help? What browser do you use? IE?
If you are using IE, sometimes you need to click "Refresh" several times. And IE usually ignores "no cache" HTTP flags. So its better to use Opera, Chrome or Firefox.

Don't see any problem on screen shot. Web Service and RCC shows the same information.

If you want to investigate why ping tests fail sometimes, check test settings and use utilities like tracert...
Sometimes routers may drop ICMP packets because TCP traffic has higher priority.

If you want to ignore such drops, try to set higher Packets value for these test items.
Another option, start "Repeat test" action after 1st failure to "refresh" test...
