OpenSSL problem on Win2012

Post by mrw »

Hi,
Just moved lots of tests from one RMA to another located on a Win2012. All tests works except one that checks a certificate.
I get the error: "Cannot load SSL engine. OpenSSL libraries are required".

I have checked that the 2 ssl dll files exists and they do. They got installed with the RMA.

Any idea why it doesn´t work? My first guess is that libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll might not be compatible with 2012?

What HostMonitor and RMA versions do you use?
libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll work on our Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 systems.
This error is produced when RMA can't access libeay32.dll or ssleay32.dll.
May be you have sevaral RMA installations in different folders?
RMA is started as Application or Service?
If RMA is started as Service, please check path to the executable using Windows Services applet (services.msc)
and check if RMA folder contains these two DLLs.

Hostmon version: 9.59(9.58 plus your 9.59 hotfix zip)
activeRMA: 4.62

This is the first and only installation of RMA on this server, using the 9.58 hostmon installation package. I just chose to install RMA only as I always do.

RMA is started as a service and I checked the path to the service and it points to rma-active.exe and in that same folder is the two ssl dll files.

Sorry, we cannot find explanation :(
That's why we do not support Windows 2012 yet - not enough information about possible problems, not enough solutions...
