Local Host Address Question

Post by vhernandez »

Advanced Host Monitor has been placed on a new server. The server has three IP's defined for other things. When I go to Tools > Local Info, it is picking up the local IP to be the third IP instead of the first one, which the first IP is the one we prefer. Is there a way to force it to pick up the first IP instead? We need to ping a specific device which requires some configuration on the firewall but we do not want to use the third IP as the one setup on the Firewall.

We are on version 4.86, any help would be much appreciated.

Do you mean you need to specify network interface, used for Ping test?
Sorry, there is no such option.

Any reason why it is defaulting to the third assigned IP address?

It depends on Windows. Choice of network interface depends on Windows settings as well - you may check and change routing table..
