URL request

Post by Mogge »

Hi there!

I'm trying to send the URL request http://rbls.org:80/?q=domain.dk (domain = my domain name) but after I have upgraded to version 5.34 (from 5.28 I think) I only get the response (Unknowed host) whatever I try...

DNS is configured ok...

Anyone...??

Kind Regards

Works fine on our systems.
What Windows do you use? Service Pack? Do you have any antivirus monitor or personal firewall installed on the system?
Have you tried to check that URL using another software? E.g. Internet Explorer?

It works fine in Internet Explorer. No AntiVirus but XP ServicePack 2 installed.

Just SP2? No recent security patches? Our XP system crashed when we have installed latest 6 security patches.

May be that's the reason.
Last week we have installed latest security patches on one XP system. It crashed - blue screen at startup. We could not start uninstall, so we just copied old files over patched files. System was restored to "before patch" state. It works.
Then we tried to update another XP system. Its crashed as well. We restored files and started uninstall for security patches. That system works but doesn't see any network connection. I think we have to reinstall that system.
So, the only suggestion I have for now - install HostMonitor on another system. As usually we recommend Windows 2000 SP4

Alex
