Test method - Folder availability

When I set an alert on a folder (not a file) that must or must not exist, it's ok.
When I add the time parameter, (and/or older/newer then ...), hostmon gives an error and quits.

What I want to test, is the modified date/time of a folder. Normaly, this date/time changes when a file is added or removed from that folder.
Is there a way to do this ?

PS:
When the path ends with a backslash, the error still appears, but that's not a really problem of course
