Everytime I change something in an existing test or create a new one the hostmon.exe service takes up all cpu for about 10 min.
I am running about 168 tests on a dedicated machine, Win XP Pro SP2 (PIII-650) with 380 Meg RAM.
Upgrade to 5.92 is done but didn't resolve our issue.
Any idea's
Hostmon.exe taking up 100% CPU
Looks like pretty slow system. But of course this should not be a reason of the problem. What other software do you have installed? Some antivirus monitors?Win XP Pro SP2 (PIII-650) with 380 Meg RAM
Do you use "auto save testlist after any change" option (Preferences page in the Options dialog)?
Do you have another "clean" system to install HostMonitor?

PC isn't doing anything else, just running hostmonitor, no AV and win xp stripped as far as possible, only win updates are running auto.
When Hostmonitor is running normal I have a cpu use of +/- 8% and memory use +/-150 Mb, these are values that the PC should have no trouble with.
I have disabled the auto save option and will check if this could be the problem.
Hostmonitor was reinstalled yesterday on a clean win xp install.

Probably its so slow because you are using slow system and "Auto save test list after any change" option (Preferences page in the Options dialog)? Try to change it to "Save tests and stats at midnight".
