Lets start from begining.
- What version of HostMonitor do you use?
- Windows?
- Service Pack?
- Does "Eventlog Mails" mean you have created some NT Event Log test items and added "Send e-mail" action into alert profile assigned to these items?
- Have you enabled "Show events description in Reply field for "check NT Event Log" test" option? Option located on Misc page in the Options dialog.
- What exactly macro variable do you use in e-mail template? %Reply%?
Actually we recommend to use special variables supported by NT Event Log test method: %NTEventSource%, %NTEventTime%, %NTEventType%, %NTEventID%, %NTEventText%, etc

Hi,

I'm using the latest Version of Hostmon. (7.50) and the monitored Server are a Windows 2k3 Server with the latest Service Pack and i have enabled the "Show events in Reply..."-Checkbox.

HM receive some NT-EventLogs from the same Server. but only in one Event-ID HM does have an empty reply field.

I'm using an Email Alert Action with the %REPLY% macro. all other macros does work.

but one is misterious: the mail that have createt from an alert action with the empty reply field does not have the same eventtime like the event-log-viewer from the windows machine. there are a difference up to 5 minutes.

Does work? So, problem fixed?

What exactly variable do you use do show event time? %DateTime%, %NTEventTime%?
%DateTime% does not show time when event was recorded. It show time when test was performed. If you need to see time of the event, use %NTEventTime% variable

If other variables work, why you don't want to use them?

If %NTEventText% is not empty (you said it works) and "Show events description in Reply field for check NT Event Log test" option is enabled, I do not see how value of %Reply% variable can be empty

May I see your settings? Test properties, e-mail template, options, e-mail that was sent by this action? Could you send HML file with tests, all *.LST and *.INI files to support@ks-soft.net? If you do not want to send the files, please send screen shots.
