Performance Couter tests return unknown status

Environment: HostMonitor runs on Windows XP monitoring Performan Counter System Up Time on W2K and NT4 servers. It seems not reliable. It takes long time to pull the information from the servers and finally returns unknown status. Would you please help? Thank you very much.

Does it return "Unknown" status all the time? Or sometimes?
