Ability for a user to view multiple folders, not just one

Post by Robert_in_MTL »

Hi,
would it be possible to set up a user (especially a web user) that would be able to display more than one folder on the web page?

At the bottom of the User Profile window, we can only select [all] [one folder] or [no access to this hml list]

We have multiple monitors displaying 24/7, each one is set up as a user, so each displays one folder and sub folders.

We would like for a user to be able to display folder #1, 3, 4, 9 and [n,n,n] at once.
could that be possible?
Maybe a view or something? then I could select that view for that user...

I tried a link from one folder to another, but links work only for tests, not folders.

thank you for reading me. :D

Several "home folders" for user account? Sorry, we will not do this. This will make code very complicated, very complicated code leads to many bugs.

Operator has access to one folder and all its subfolders. If you cannot redesign folder structure to fit needs of all users, probably you may use test links to provide access to necessary items for different users.

Ok, thank you.

I thought that some kind of view could work.

Maybe folder links in the future? this way I could make a folder named [user#1] that would only contain links to as many folders I would like... Than make this folder the user's home folder.

Could that be done maybe?

thanks,
