RMA: 301 Interface Not Supported

Post by Gavin »

Hello,

I am having a problem trying to get an Active Script to run against a Windows Server 2008 x64 machine.

The fix for this after searching the forums seems to be to register msscript.ocx; this is not available on 64 bit platforms according to Google.

I know the script and setup of the test works fine as it works fine across hundreds of Windows Server 2003 machines.

Any help would be appreciated.

1) You don't really need 64bit version of Windows Script Control (msscript.ocx) because HostMonitor is 32bit application.
You may download Windows Script Control at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Also you may install it manually (copy some files from another Windows system) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184739

2) On the other hand, we recommend to use Shell Script test method instead of Active Script. It provides more options, e.g. you may run Power Shell scripts, use external applications to perform tests...

Alex
