Tricky count files

Post by oryagel »

Hi,

I have the following scenario:
Back job is done every 8 hours.
Every 24 hours I need to move the backup files to different storage.

I want to check that there is a new file every 8 hours, if not alert.
After 3 backups a script is executed and it will move the files.
And then the same scenario repeats itself.

Any idea how to get it done?

Thanks

If script that moves files executed right after backup and HostMonitor does not have access to new location, how you can check for the files?

If there is some delay between backup and moving procedure, use Count Files test method with "Count files newer than 480 minutes" option and setup custom Schedule for the test so it will be executed at specific times every day.
