At some point last weekend, and now again this weekend, HM 8.82 has stopped monitoring, and I don't know why. The service remains running, but when I go to the console, and choose "Monitoring" from the toolbar, I see that "start monitoring" is available. I click it, and everything is fine again.
Monitoring can be stopped by local or remote operator, it can be stopped thru telnet service or HM script.
You may disable "start/stop monitoring" permission for operators using HostMonitor menu User->Operators. Also you may check action profiles to see which HM scripts are in use.
