Allright...
Would it be possible to:
a) check a POP or IMAP mailbox if there are any messages in the Inbox
if so, then:
b) print the message(s)
c) delete the message(s)
A full solution would of course be very much appreciated, but a few hints to get me underway would also be very helpful.

Raising the bar...
HostMonitor version 9 will be able to check POP3 and IMAP mailboxes start alerts (e.g. start external application that will print some e-mail parameters like sender or mail subject) and remove message.
However I see one problem: if you want to use "Execute external program" action to print e-mail body, HostMonitor will not be able to pass multiline e-mail body to this external program.
