LDAP base object of domain

LDAP base object of domain

Is there a way in an LDAP test to have the base object of the entire domain? I can get it to work if I have an OU as a base object but would like to have the base object as the whole domain

Just specify domain as a base object.
E.g.:
dc=domain,dc=com
