Report based on UseCommonLog

Post by oakyuz »

Hi

We are using HM v9.86 on Windows 2008 R2.

We have some tests for which we have forgetten to check "Use Common Log" property. I would like to check this property (UseCommonLog) for all tests at once. Can I create a report to find these tests?

I tried to create custom HTML report with template (Test items) %TestID%;%UseCommonLog%, but it did not give me values for UseCommonLog, like:

HostMonitor Report
Generated on 09/06/2014 at 11:06:20

_TEMP 10444;%UseCommonLog%
10761;%UseCommonLog%
2687;%UseCommonLog%

What can I do to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Oguzhan

Where did you find %UseCommonLog% variable?
I do not see it in the manual, I don't see it in the code.

I think you may export test settings into text file (menu File -> Export...) and search for "UseCommonLog= No" string

Hi Alex

Actually, I did not mention it is a variable, but a test property. Putting it between %% made it resemble like a variable, sorry for improper use of %. I mixed up variable with test property.

I thought that because UseCommonLog is a test property, there might be a way to extract the tests based on it. I understand that there is no such an option.
