URL request: bad
What exactly is test status: "Bad", "No answer", "Bad contents" ?A Intern URL check always says the check is bad and it doesn't work.
What is HostMonitor version ?
What Windows do you use ? Service Pack ?
Is HostMonitor started as Application or Service ?
"Bad" status for URL test means HostMonitor is able to connect to the server and receive answer while this answer indicated some HTTP error. E.g. HTTP code 404 means "page not found".
You may setup some action (e.g. Send E-Mail) using %HTTPCode% and %HTTPHeader% to check answer from the server.
Also you may use "Tune up Reply value" test option and expression like %HttpCode%. This way you will see HTTP code returned by web server in Reply field of the test.
Regards
Alex

No, HostMonitor application does not need HostMonitor service and you should not start both instances at the same time. That's why HostMonitor warns you when you are trying to start application while service is running.Ehm....both? the application need the service...or what do you mean?

As Alex said in previous posts:
You should turn on "Tune up Reply value" option (located on Test properties dialog of URL test) with macro variable: %HttpCode%
This way you will see HTTP code, returned by web server in Reply field of the test.
Please check the manual or visit our web site for more information at:
