Stuck with False positive on HTTPS URL Monitoring

Post by ahdelph »

Hi,

i am facing an issue with my hostmonitor. i am using it to monitor HTTPS website availability. the host monitor is installed on a remote desktop. i check the website , its not having downtime, the IP is not blacklisted by the web server. but the status is always no answer, it has been persisting for almost a week already.

i am able to monitor the website using another host monitor installed on another pc but unable to monitor the website from the remote desktop.

Please assist.

Please provide details

HostMonitor version? HostMonitor started as service? application?
Windows?
IE version?

Can you ping target host from HostMonitor systems?
Can you reach the same web page using IE started on HostMonitor system?
Is there any problems with web server certificate? E.g. expired, invalid host?
Does IE show any warnings when you open web page?

May we access your web site?
May we see test settings?

Regards
Alex

We tested several versions of HostMonitor, IE and Windows - everything works fine with your servers and HostMonitor sets "Host is alive" status.

Please provide details (IE version, HM version) and screen shots (test settings)

We cannot reproduce this problem - HostMonitor can check your web servers from our systems, even Windows XP with old IE works fine.
Have you checked server logs?
What settings do you set on "Connection / Access method" page in HostMonitor options dialog?
